From October 9th to 12th, the 17th National Conference on Photochemistry organized by the Chinese Chemical Society was held in Wuhan, Hubei, China. The conference, themed 'Frontiers of Photochemistry and Future Technologies', provided a platform for scholars, experts, and students in the field of photochemistry and related research from across the country to engage in academic discussions and exchanges. It aimed to explore the forefront issues and future trends in the field of photochemistry, focusing on the opportunities and challenges of photochemistry and related research in the new era, and showcasing the latest achievements and progress in Chinese photochemical research.
The 17th National Conference on Photochemistry of the Chinese Chemical Society is jointly hosted by the Photochemical Professional Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society and Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and the Key Laboratory of Energy Conversion and Storage Materials of the Ministry of Education of Huazhong University of Science and Technology are the organizers of the conference.
The conference covers a wide range of cutting-edge interdisciplinary subjects related to photochemistry, photophysics, and photobiology, including molecular photochemistry, supramolecular photochemistry, material photochemistry, bio-photochemistry, environmental and atmospheric photochemistry, theoretical photochemistry, spectroscopy, photosensitive chemistry, and other fields related to photochemistry, photophysics, and photobiology. It involves topics such as solar energy conversion, photochemical synthesis, photocatalysis, luminescent materials, fluorescence probes and bioimaging, photosensitive materials and devices, photodiagnosis reagents and methods, and photo processing technology.
