The Microsolar 300 Xenon Lamp light source is an advanced domestic photoresearch-grade light source that provides intense spectral output ranging from the ultraviolet to near-infrared regions. It is widely used in research areas such as photocatalytic hydrogen production, photodegradation of pollutants, photocatalytic CO₂ reduction reactions, photochemical and photothermal chemistry, and photoelectrochemistry, among others.
The Microsolar 300 Xenon Lamp light source is equipped with an optical feedback system. In constant light irradiance output mode, it can detect the light output of the xenon lamp source in real time based on the experimentally set light intensity values and automatically adjust the light intensity. This ensures that the average light intensity output can be controlled within the set value, thus enhancing the precision of light exposure experiments.

Precautions for Using the Microsolar 300 Light Source:
1. Precautions for Using a New Xenon Lamp Source
The Microsolar 300 Xenon Lamp light source adjusts the reference current based on the set light intensity in the light control mode, ensuring that the measured light intensity matches the set light intensity, thus achieving long-term stable light power output.
In the light control mode, the Microsolar 300 Xenon Lamp light source allows you to adjust the set light intensity value using the -/+ buttons on the front panel of the lamp box. It is recommended to set the set light intensity for newly purchased or recently replaced xenon lamp bulbs, or xenon lamp sources that have been unused for an extended period, within the range of 45~55. After setting, the reference current value will automatically adjust with the set light intensity.
Slight fluctuations in the reference current value are normal. Do not attempt to calibrate the reference current manually using the -/+ buttons, as shown in Figure 2.

2. Precautions After Replacing the Xenon Lamp Bulb
The Microsolar 300 Xenon Lamp light source has a bulb timer function. After replacing a new xenon lamp bulb, the bulb timer must be reset. Otherwise, the usage time in the xenon lamp source program will accumulate the time of the old bulb, and the power supply box screen may display an abnormal overvoltage fault message.
How to reset the accumulated time for the xenon lamp bulb in the Microsolar 300 Xenon Lamp light source?
After the Microsolar 300 Xenon Lamp light source is powered on, press the SET button on the power supply box twice to enter the bulb accumulated time interface. Then, simultaneously press the -/+ buttons as shown in Figure 3 to reset the bulb accumulated time.

3. Precautions for Using High Light Intensity Light Sources
Microsolar 300 Xenon Lamp light source can adjust the light intensity by adjusting the current when operating. The maximum output current is 21 A, corresponding to a maximum optical power density of 2100 mW·cm-2. If a high light intensity is required for the experiment, it is necessary to set a higher set light intensity for the Microsolar 300 Xenon Lamp light source. However, as the usage time of the xenon lamp source increases, the xenon lamp bulb will gradually age, resulting in a gradual decrease in light intensity. Nevertheless, in the light control mode, the output light intensity will still operate according to the set light intensity, causing the reference current to increase over time. When the reference current has reached the maximum output current of 21 A, the actual light intensity cannot reach the set light intensity value, making it impossible to meet the required light intensity for the experiment. In such cases, it is necessary to promptly replace the xenon lamp bulb with a new one; otherwise, significant damage may occur to both the xenon lamp bulb and the xenon lamp source, seriously affecting their service life.
