On November 28-29, the high-level international, multidisciplinary, and cross-regional academic exchange event in the field of chemical engineering— the 2023 Annual Conference of the China Chemical Society—was successfully held at the Guangzhou YueXiu International Conference Center. Renowned experts and scholars, including 20 academicians, along with representatives from academia, industry, and technology, totaling more than 3,000 participants, attended the conference.
The special invited session of the conference featured 9 academicians and experts who presented reports on hot scientific issues such as the future trends in chemical development, carbon neutrality, green biology, microfluidic chemistry, as well as topics in cutting-edge technological areas like prevention and control of plastic pollution, sustainable development of the chemical industry, and the transition from refining to chemical engineering.
On November 29, 29 thematic sub-forums were concurrently held, covering topics such as petroleum and chemical engineering, carbon neutrality, coal chemical engineering, intelligent manufacturing, electronic chemicals, fine chemicals, biotechnology, energy storage engineering, ionic liquids, new chemical materials, chemical safety, etc. The conference featured nearly 1,000 academic reports and over 600 papers, comprehensively showcasing the fruitful achievements of diligent and dedicated researchers in the field of chemical technology.
