In photochemical/photocatalytic experiments, some photocatalysts are UV-responsive, such as TiO₂, SrTiO₃, etc. The spectrum of a regular xenon lamp bulb ranges from 320 to 2500 nm, with limited UV intensity, which cannot meet the experimental requirements of UV-responsive photocatalysts.

Typically, experiments using UV-responsive photocatalysts choose UV-enhanced xenon lamp sources as an external energy input source. However, when using UV-enhanced xenon lamp sources, a strong fishy odor is often noticed. This is due to the UV light in the range of 160 to 240 nm converting oxygen (O₂) into ozone (O₃).

The PLS-VUV Ultraviolet Enhanced Ozone-Free Lamp Bulb utilizes exclusive patented technology, "Device for Ozone Prevention in Ultraviolet Light Sources" (Patent No.: 202222047266.4). Building upon the foundation of the PLS-UV Ultraviolet Enhanced Lamp Bulb, it incorporates a special device designed to reduce and decompose ozone at the source, reducing ozone concentration in a closed environment from 9.97 ppm to 0.16 ppm.

Compatible with Perfectlight Technology's Microsolar 300 Xenon Lamp Source, PLS-SXE300 E Xenon Lamp Source, PLS-SXE300+ Xenon Lamp Source.
