The study of electrochemistry involves the mutual conversion of light energy, electrical energy, and chemical energy. By controlling and monitoring signals such as voltage and current conveniently, it can rapidly reflect the conversion processes of these three forms of energy. As a result, more and more researchers are diving into this field, exploring the properties of materials in the complex field of photoelectrochemical energy.

 To meet the research needs in this area, Perfectlight has introduced a high vacuum and easy-to-connect photoelectrochemical reactor. The main body of this reactor is made of high borosilicate glass material and uses socket flange connections, O-ring seals, and a multi-joint chain-type clamp for easy and convenient operation. The optical window is detachable for cleaning, and the electrodes are fixed using a plug-and-play method. It comes with a standard three-electrode system: ITO/FTO or glassy carbon (straight or L-shaped) working electrodes can be secured with electrode fixtures.

 Based on its structure, the photoelectrochemical reactor can be divided into a single-chamber reactor and a double-chamber reactor (also known as an H-type reactor). The latter can have a proton exchange membrane fixed at the connection between the two single chambers, effectively preventing direct mixing of the reactants on both sides and only allowing proton conduction, thus avoiding reverse reactions.
