The study of electrochemistry involves the mutual conversion of light energy, electrical energy, and chemical energy. By controlling and detecting signals such as voltage and current conveniently, the conversion process of these energies can be rapidly reflected. In order to meet the research needs in this area, Perfectlight has introduced a highly airtight and conveniently connected photochemical reactor. The main body of the reactor is made of high borosilicate glass and features a beveled flange connection, O-ring seal, and multi-joint chain-type clamping for easy and convenient operation. The reactor includes a detachable and cleanable optical window, and the electrodes are fixed using a plug-and-play method. The standard configuration includes a three-electrode system: ITO/FTO or glassy carbon (straight or L-shaped) working electrodes can be fixed with electrode fixtures.
According to the structure, the photochemical reactor can be divided into single-chamber reactors and double-chamber reactors (also known as H-type reactors). The latter can fix proton exchange membranes at the connection parts of the two single chambers to block the direct mixing of reaction media on both sides and only conduct protons, avoiding reverse reactions.
