Solar energy conversion efficiency is a key parameter in assessing the photocatalytic water splitting process and is an important indicator of the performance of the photocatalytic water splitting system. Incident Photon-to-Electron Conversion Efficiency (IPCE) is one of the four main ways to represent the photocatalytic water splitting system and is used to characterize the relationship between the photoelectrode reaction efficiency of materials and light power, wavelength, and electrode potential. IPCE can be considered as an analytical diagnostic efficiency and can provide information on factors affecting the photoelectrode reaction efficiency.
