Usage Instructions for PL-MW2000 High Power Light Power Meter

The standard solar spectrum on the Earth's surface is referred to as AM 1.5G, which means a light power density of 1000 W/m2, also denoted as 100 mW/cm2. It is typically achieved using a xenon lamp source combined with an AM 1.5G filter.

In the field of photochemistry, light power density is one of the important parameters in photochemical reactions, and a light power meter is the primary tool for measuring light power density. Light power meters need to meet requirements such as a wide measurement range, broad spectral range, high measurement accuracy, and low measurement error.

PL-MW2000 High-Power Light Power Meter User Guide:

1. Connect the detector: Take out the sensor and connect the DB connector at one end of the detector cable to the DB connector on the main unit.

2. Zero calibration: Due to the influence of ambient temperature and ambient light, there may still be a small reading after pressing the power button to turn on the light power meter when there is no light input. Therefore, before use, cover the detector in an absolutely dark environment, press the zero key to deduct the background value.

3. Measurement: Remove the dust cover of the PL-MW2000 high-power light power meter, replace it with the light filter module, place the detector coaxially with the xenon lamp light source output, maintain the same distance as the xenon lamp light source output from the catalyst surface, wait for 30 seconds, and read the stable light power reading P (W) after the reading stabilizes. Thus:

The PL-MW2000 high-power light power meter is designed with a removable light filter module. When installing the light filter, the measurement range is 20 W, and when the light filter is removed, the range is 5 W. The PL-MW2000 high-power light power meter can meet the accuracy requirements for wide-range measurements in a single measurement mode.

PL-MW2000 High-Power Light Power Meter Precautions:

 1. Do not place the light power meter detector without a light filter directly at the xenon lamp light output for measurement, as this can cause irreversible damage to the gray-white detector absorber;

 2. Avoid any contact between the gray-white detector absorber of the light power meter and any object, as the detector absorber cannot be repaired, and once damaged, the entire light power meter will be unusable;

 3. Avoid introducing external hot air into the probe window during measurements, as external hot air can affect the measurement accuracy of the light power meter;

 4. Do not use the light power meter beyond its measurement range;

 5. Avoid prolonged exposure of the probe;

 6. Do not place the light power meter detector near high-temperature objects;

 7. Use the supplied charger to charge the PL-MW2000 high-power light power meter with the power off, and do not exceed 10 hours of charging.
