The 8th National Symposium on Polyacid Chemistry was held from April 24th to 26th, 2021, in Kaifeng, Henan Province. Co-hosted by the Inorganic Chemistry Discipline Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society and Henan University, the event was jointly organized by the Henan Chemical Society, the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Henan University, and the Henan Key Laboratory of Polyacid Chemistry.
This conference invited academician Hong Maochun, an inorganic chemist from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, to serve as the conference chairman, and academician Zhang Suojiang, an expert in chemical engineering, to serve as the vice chairman. The conference, themed "From Molecules to Materials," comprehensively showcased new research and achievements in China over the past two years. It also delved into the opportunities, challenges, and future development directions facing polyacid chemistry, strengthening academic exchanges, promoting independent innovation, and driving sustainable development of the discipline.
