The International Symposium on Solar Fuels Held in Wuhan, Exploring Scientific Solutions for Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality

The International Workshop on Solar Fuel (IWSF) was successfully held in Wuhan, Hubei from December 10th to 13th, 2021. The workshop was hosted by Professor Yujia Guo and jointly organized by China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), Shenzhen University, Changsha University, Jianghan University, and Huaibei Normal University. It was co-hosted by Beijing Perfectlight Technology Co., Ltd. The event gathered more than 200 scholars from both domestic and international institutions.

The workshop focused on topics such as photocatalytic hydrogen production, photocatalytic CO₂ reduction, photocatalytic environmental purification, photocatalytic materials, Type II (S-type) heterojunctions, photoelectrochemistry, electrocatalytic hydrogen production, electrocatalytic CO₂ reduction, aiming to provide an opportunity for academic exchange in the field of solar fuels, identify key scientific issues in this rapidly developing field, and establish a platform for researchers from different countries and regions to communicate.
