Two Major Photocatalysis Academic Conferences Not to Be Missed Recently

 4. Conference Introduction

This conference is an international academic symposium with a focus on energy and environmental photocatalytic materials.

The 1st Chinese Photocatalytic Materials Academic Symposium (CSPM) was held on July 26-29, 2018, at the Wuhan University of Technology Conference Center. The 2nd CSPM was held on November 8-11, 2019, at the Nanjing Jinling Riverside International Conference Center Hotel. The 3rd CSPM took place on December 11-14, 2020, at the Wuhan Qingchuan Holiday Hotel. The 4th CSPM was held on November 19-21, 2021, at the Shanghai Hongqiao West Suburban Holiday Hotel. The 5th CSPM took place on February 17-20, 2023, at the Wuhan Qingchuan Holiday Hotel.

This conference aims to provide a high-level platform for the exchange and presentation of achievements in the field of photocatalysis for overseas Chinese and domestic and international experts. The conference program includes plenary sessions, keynote speeches, invited presentations, oral presentations, poster presentations, and a photocatalysis product exhibition, along with the establishment of an Outstanding Poster Award. After the conference, a special issue on photocatalysis will be published in the Journal of Catalysis, a top journal with the latest impact factor of 16.5. Additionally, a special issue on photocatalysts will be organized in the Journal of Physical Chemistry and published between 2023-2024. Furthermore, a virtual special issue on "Heterojunction Composite Photocatalyst" will be organized in the international journal Journal of Materials Science & Technology (JMST), which is currently classified as a top journal in both the large category and small category by the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Basic research on photocatalytic materials, S-type heterojunction photocatalytic materials, doping and bandgap control of photocatalytic materials, morphology and crystal face control of photocatalytic materials, preparation strategies for photocatalytic materials, first-principles research on photocatalytic materials, environmental applications of photocatalytic materials, photocatalytic hydrogen production, photocatalytic hydrogen peroxide production, photocatalytic reduction of carbon dioxide to prepare hydrocarbon fuels, and photoelectrochemistry.

 4. Conference Introduction

In recent years, research on graphene, nitrogen carbon, and other photocatalytic materials has attracted widespread attention in the field of photocatalysis, and their potential in achieving carbon peak and carbon neutrality has made them a research hotspot. Against this background, the 4th International Symposium on Graphene, Nitrogen Carbon, and Other Photocatalytic Materials is scheduled to be held from October 13 to October 16, 2023, in the ancient capital of China, Xi'an. The honorary chairpersons of the conference include Zhao Jincai (Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences) and Detlef Bahnemann (Academician of the European Academy of Sciences). The conference chairs are Professor Wang Chuanyi (Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry) and Professor Yu Jiaguo (Academician of the European Academy of Sciences).

The conference will invite well-known experts and scholars from home and abroad to showcase the latest scientific theoretical research results and key technological advances related to the application of important photocatalytic materials such as graphene and nitrogen carbon in the fields of environment and energy. The conference aims to discuss the new opportunities and challenges faced by China's environment and energy fields under the drive of the "Dual Carbon" goal and serve China's dual carbon strategy. The hosting of this conference is of great significance for promoting the development of related disciplines and international cooperation and exchanges.

It is estimated that about 460 delegates will attend the conference, including approximately 60 foreign delegates from the United States, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Canada, Greece, France, Italy, Australia, North Korea, Brazil, Russia, and South Africa. There will be about 400 domestic delegates.
